I think hero rankings would be a cool idea. It'd just have an icon on it's "Status" bar to show it's rank. Ranks are determined by how far you've gotten in the game. For example: You just pick a Cleric to begin with. It's class type is still Cleric, but it has a icon on it's status bar that says "Beginner Priest"... and then the rankings get better as you go through the game, until the ending one which could be something like "GrandMaster Cleric". Now, I know this won't make it in 2.0, but I thought it was a cool idea and just wanted to throw it out there. Also, say you're near like a GrandMaster Cleric, you would regenerate 10hp/10mp every second. Being next to a Rogue/Assassin would give you extra speed, being near a Paladin or Knight would give extra damage or defense. Idk, just wanted to toss it out there, like the aging idea. Also, in the Dungeons, maybe have places you can only access if like a Mage is there or something. And Rogues have to pick the lock on doors to go to secret areas or something. Ideas/opinions, or even criticism? What do you guys think about it? I personally thought it'd be nice to see in one of the TBR games.

I support classes giving weak auras to those around them, however I disagree with the idea of making some areas inaccessible without a certain class.
The game is based on each dungeon being restricted by level, due to the various classes in the game, and by encouraging certain classes to be present due to the dungeons, the game would have an imbalance in class numbers.
This would not encourage variety, as people would simply form groups of reliable people to fill up their games instead of letting new people join and helping them.

This idea was similiar to The Imagica RPG map...am I right? I agree with this idea anyway, since it could grant the user bonus stats or something else better...
