Hi I had an idea that should be good to improve games that change they account names like me. I had a account in wich i used to play TBR alot and then i made new one, now evrytime i want to play TBR on my chars i got to change account cause codes are "Name bound". My sugestion is to add a especific command to allow other acounts to play in your characters maybe by just writing "-allow ACCOUNT_NAME" and "-unallow" or just like "-save ACCOUNT_NAME" u could add more letter and numbers to code so that u can add allow option ofcourse cant be understanble esle there will be char steals...

[green]Bad Idea because first: it's not codeable, because TBR hasn't got a online data bank where there could be saved which account names are allowed to use their chars each other and which not, and second, also if it would be codeable, it would end in players swapping their chars for having all chars lvl 200. That's not the sence of a rpg... So before you start playing tbr, make sure you like your name and that your name has atleast 4 characters and no weird characters...^^[/green]

Can we have a some special admins with spare time to swap save codes to other chars? Or would that get abused by the bad people.

Well as gurken was saying, its not codeable and even if it was, people would abuse it. What i can advise you to do is relog everytime you want to play tbr and just relog again after ur done since ur probably closing war3 from the lag.

What i can advise you to do is relog everytime you want to play tbr and just relog again after ur done since ur probably closing war3 from the lag. No it is codeable. But highly abusable. Basically a code generator would have to be installed into the game which wrote your code to your screen to a new name. Can you say abuse? Imagine one hacker going into games and generating codes for any noob who wanted a lvl 200. (lvl 150 for tbr 2.0 i guess.)
And what gambit was suggesting was that an admin generate a code for someone who wanted to switch to another game name.
Here is the only way you are going to convince the admins of that. If you refer to my other forum suggestion about creating a "donors" group when someone contributes money for the development of TBR you will see that I said it would be a good idea to give benefits for anyone who contributed.
One of these benefits could be that you could get one free code generated for a new in game screen name. I'm sure that could be very do-able and would lead to more contributors so both the players and the developers are going to benefit from it.

[white]orrrr u can pick apart the code and replace the detectors for length and first three letters if you really care
also somewhere above it was said ther code held four, its DEFINITELY: three with a length too[/white]

It would be codeable, it could just give you the code for that name, though it is (and will be, I'm sure) very abusable. It would be good if FT made it so that if 1 character was missing, it would still work (Fluffball is taken on US East, so I have to use Fluff_Ball, but all my codes are bound to Fluffball)

I highly doubt the admin making a new code, there will be issues and cases regarding the matter of false info or something that make it look real (but is not). I'm very much certain FT will agree to my side as well.

On the new forums there are points going to people that are good (helping lowbies, posting guides etc.) that could be spent on name swaps. Too good.[/yellow]

[green]OMG, that's a bad idea. A codegenerator implemented in the game? And if someone hacks the map, he don't even have to create a new codegen, because we gave it to him. No sry, but this idea isn't doable without bugs and so on.[/green]

[yellow]No I mean having the "good" people (people with forum points or doners) the ability to have name changes.[/yellow]

i think this whole char being able to change acc. thing is a REALLY bad idea. even if it's for "good" people only. if this is the case, who gets to decide who the "good people" are? and if u are good enough at acting u can pretend to be a good person, but in truth be the best hacker the world has ever seen. there's also the possibility of a good person's acc. being hacked and then we have a hacker with the ability to swap hero's. and even if none of these things happened, there wouldn't be any fun left in the game, because u dont really get the chance to customize your char for one thing and secondly u dont get the satisfaction of finishing something that u worked very hard for. i can only see this idea as a quick way to get to the top, without doing any of the work to get there.
